Short Itinerary
Land in Leh (3500 m) → absolutely full day rest today. Hydrate well, avoid alcohol. Do a short walk in Leh market only if you feel okay. Our representative will brief you about the trip in the evening.
Overnight Stay: Leh (Dinner)
Morning: We will start our sightseeing towards Sham valley which will be around 100 km approx with all places. Sights-en route: Leh palace, Hall of fame, Gurudwara pathar sahib, Magnetic hill, Sangam point and Shanti stupa.
Overnight Stay: Leh (Breakfast & Dinner)
Drive: 125 km | 5-6hr via Khardung La Pass [5,359m, one of the world highest motorable roads]. Sights enroute: Stop at Khardungla Pass. Visit Diskit Monastery [oldest in Nubra, Maitreya Buddha Statue]. Hunder sand dunes [Ride double humped bactrian camels].
Overnight Stay: Diskit (Breakfast & Dinner)
Morning: After breakfast, begin your journey towards Turtuk via the scenic Indo-Pak route. Travel distance and Time: 200 kms and 6-7hrs approx. Turtuk is a remote and beautiful village located near the India-Pakistan border. Thang: It's one of the last inhabited villages before the Line of Control. Leisure Time: Spend the evening in Nubra Valley.
Overnight Stay: Diskit (Breakfast & Dinner)
Drive: 180 km | 5–6 hours via the Shayok route which is also known as the silk route. Sights en route: Stop at Durbuk for lunch. Pangong Lake: Arrive by afternoon. Marvel at the turquoise-blue waters (famous from 3 Idiots). Evening: Sunset views, stargazing.
Overnight Stay: Pangong (Breakfast & Dinner)
Morning: After an early breakfast, begin your journey from Pangong Lake to Hanle. Travel distance and Time: 250kms and 6-7hrs approx. Chushul Village: Ride through the scenic route passing Chushul. Demchok: Visit the remote village on the banks of the Indus River, near the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Umlingla Pass: Conquer the highest motorable road in the world, sitting at an altitude of 19,024 feet. Evening: Arrive at Hanle, known for clear night skies.
Overnight Stay: Hanle (Breakfast & Dinner)
Morning: After breakfast, start your journey towards Leh via Chumathang. Chumathang: Visit here for hot spring water. Scenic Ride: Enjoy the scenic beauty of the remote Changthang region. Thiksey Monastery: On the way we will visit Thiksey Monastery. Rancho School: 35km Before Leh we will visit Rancho School.
Overnight Stay: Leh (Breakfast & Dinner)
Morning: Depending on your flight schedule, we will drop you to KBR Leh Airport. Depart with sweet Memories of Ladakh.
